walk to cheng huang miao~

went to explore shanghai ytd...

walked frm ren ming guang chang to nanjing dong lu to cheng huang miao n den walk back again...

in total, we all walked for 6 hrs none stop...

broken my previous record...

n the 6 hrs none stop is when we haven't take the walking trip frm our sch to shanghai nan zhan...

i think i had walked the amt of walk 4 1 week in sin ytd...

surprise tat my legs didn't ach frm all the walking... lol...

it was fun exploring sh on our own...

hope tat we will get to do more exploring while we are still here...

i want to shop!!!

19th birthday~

spent my birthday oversea in shanghai for the first time...

thanks to everyone who had wished me happy birthday n oso thanks to those who have given me a surprise on my birthday...

really was surprised when i saw the birthday cake...

thanks for planning the whole surprise everyone...

PS. ros vomit really sound like real one...

one last thanks to kt, km, bings, raven, shir, sling, ros, justin n husna for the birthday surprise...

n oso thanks for the present n cake u guys got me...

brief account of the birthday surprise...

raven n shir go buy cake during lunch break while ros, husna, kt n sling keep me company...

den they gathered in ros rm juz before 12 midnight with raven n ros hiding in the toilet n bings, km, kt n justin hide in the closet in ros rm...

sling in the rm with me n shir in her rm(i think) waiting to bring the cake...

husna is responsible 2 tell me ros vomiting den make me rush to their rm...

to cut it short, husna came telling ros is vomiting den sling say she got vomit medicine so i rush off to their rm first...

den ros never open the toilet door den after a while everyone jump out n sing b'dae song n bring the cake out...

super surprised n touched...

nearly cried when i saw everyone...

but never cry in the end...

den after tat we all went into previously mrs koh rm to eat the cake...

the cake very nice... =)

oso want to thank my mentor...

he was the one who told my supervisor tat my b'dae was ytd n ask for a celebration...

(they have a tradition of celebrating everyones b'dae...)

n he even make the effort to buy me a box of dove choc as my present...

really thanks to him...

tis year had quite a memorable b'dae in shanghai...

though i can't celebrate with my friends who r in sin n oso my laopo...

i really enjoyed myself...

thanks again to my friends n oso my mentor n oso everyone who had wished me happy birthday...

Day 15~

finally started doing my expt...

it was ok...

got my mentor to help me when i have any prob so so far so good...

heard that it is going to get busier n busier as the expt progresses...

but i think got things to do is better than having nth to go...

today prepared 2 media 4 yeast culturation...

but it took super long to prepare the medias...

1 whole day...

but then got 1 2 hr lunch break in between...

found out that china ppl eat lunch n dinner super early...

they eat lunch at 11 am n dinner at 5 pm...

it is way too early as compared to sin...

n they eat super fast...

can finish rice n 3 dishes in juz 5 to 10 mins...

craziness... make me so scare of eating any meal wif them...

my illusion of my supervisor being very scary is over...

he actually is a nice guy... hehe...

only got to know that after talking to him...

n i got his to signed my log book le...

but the grading he ask my mentor to give...

i dun mind tat though...

after all, it is my mentor who works wif me n know wad i had been doing...

but now i come to a conclusion tat my supervisor is a nice guy...

tat is when he is not lecturing ppl...

he sounds n looks too scary when he is scolding ppl...

tat's the end of Day 15...

tml going to continue on my expt again...

hope tat everything will go well...

currently still haven't start experiment yet...

so everyday basically is juz go to the lab, see got anything to do...

if got nth to do den juz read infor n oso to write log book...

haven't let my supervisor assess my log book yet...

cause i too slack, haven't finish writing n oso cause i think my supervisor too scary n too busy...

saw he scolded my seniors on thurs...

so scary... everyone looks so serious n the atmosphere is juz too scary...

seldom see him in the lab n when i do see him, he is always looking ard n supervising...

dun dare as him sign...

some more he applying so fund thing...

scare tat tis period he will have mood swing den my ITP grade will b bad...

but i must agree tat he is a very good in this field of studies...

everyone look up to him in the lab...

yesterady dr cui went back to sin le...

mrs go meet friends den monday will leave for sin as well...

after tat, we will b left alone for the rest of the 5 weeks....

i dun want...

i want to go back home...

can they take me along?

i miss sin...

hope tat the 5 weeks left will pass by in the speed of light...

i want to go home!!!

today no need go work again...

slacking in hostel now...

tml got tour so i will onli officially start work on thursday...

end of first week in shanghai...

today is the end of my first week stay in shaghai...
still got 6 more weeks to go...
today was basically spent slacking...
today woke up late, eat lunch n den go shop until ard 5pm in the evening...
but den is shop for things we nd like bread n stuff...
eating the fried rice we cooking later...
save cost...
saw one bag tat i like in a shop but it was too small to b used as a sch bag...
so i think i will forgo it since i am living with a tight budget now...
going to look 4 othewr nice bag tat i can get to use as my sch bag...
i really want to buy a new bag!!!

tml nd to go back to work le...
but my mentor sent me email tat say mayb cannot start experiments tml cause still nd to unpack all the stuffs tat was sent to the new building...
hope tat the rest of days here would b enjoyable...
the thought of work simply make me want to go back to singapore...
hope tat the temperature will get warmer n warmer by each day...
please dun drop to very cold temperature again...
if really still nd to b cold temp...
please stay as how it is tis few days...
